The man who was detained by the Secret Service early Tuesday morning after attempting to jump over the wall at President Donald Trump’s Mar a Lago resort said he reportedly told Trump “he wanted to spread the gospel and get in to marry his teenage granddaughter.”
Anthony Thomas Reyes, 23, was arrested early Tuesday morning after attempting to illegally enter the president’s Florida resort early Tuesday morning, according to Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office booking records.
A police report detailing the incident reportedly revealed that Reyes, who was arrested earlier on New Year’s holiday after trying to illegally enter Malua Lago again, entered Trump’s resort and told the president that he “want to spread the gospel and marry his granddaughter Kai.”

Reyes was initially arrested for trespassing charges and was given $1,000 in bonds, but his bonds were subsequently raised to $50,000, according to Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office records. Federal fees could probably last.
The president was in the country’s capital at the time of the incident.
“I was arrested early Tuesday by the Palm Beach Police Department for illegally entering the Mar-A-Lago Club property in Florida early in the morning. Shortly after midnight, an individual expanded the boundary fence and caused an alarm,” the US Secret Service told Fox News Digital. “A US Secret Service official detained him at the scene without incident. Palm Beach police officers responded to the scene, detained the individual and charged him with trespassing under occupation.”

Reyes’ arrest on Tuesday was not the first time he tried to enter the president’s Florida compound, according to the Palm Beach Daily News. According to arrest reports, Palm Beach police have warned Rays for trespassing in Mar Arago on the Great Ve day when Trump attended the property.
