Exclusive: R-Ala. Senator Katie Britt proposed a mother (more opportunities for mothers to succeed) on Tuesday, aiming to provide critical support to both prenatal and postnatal mothers as Mother’s Day arrives on Sunday.
Britt said the number of births in the United States in 2023 was the lowest since the Carter administration, citing the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
“The Republican Party is the Life Party, the Parents Party, the Family Party,” she added to Fox News Digital.
“The central act of moms is to build an inclusive culture of life that will give mothers, children and families the support system they need to thrive and live their American dreams.”

“As a person, I don’t have to wonder what other moms are facing. I live with it. I know there are no greater blessings in life than our children, and I also understand the types of challenges women face during pregnancy.
Britt is R-Tenn. Senator Marsha Blackburn and Sens. JimJustice, R.W. Va., Steve Daines, R.Mont. , Kevin Cramer, R.N.D., David McCormick, R.Pa. , joined the bill, including Charles Grassley, R-Iowa and others.
McCormick told Fox News Digital he is proud to be involved in such a “parent family effort,” warning that the birth and birth rate in the United States for some time is “surprisingly low.”

The Moms Act will establish a new “Pregnancy Dot GOV” for mothers with post-pregnancy and mothers of young children to increase access to adoption agencies, pregnancy resource centres and other support via postal codes.
In states like Alabama, where rural communities particularly need such support, they will establish grant programs that will help ease more than 20 counties in Yellowhammer, considered the “maternity care desert” alone.
Britt’s final attempt to bring up the Moms Act law was blocked by Democrats, who, among other “strange” claims, mischaracterized the bill as the creation of a federal pregnancy database.

The 2025 version also includes Cramer’s fetal child support law to enable state governments to apply child support obligations during pregnancy.
Virginia Sen. Tim Kane recently co-hosted the Childcare Availability and Affordable Act with Britt to strengthen tax credits aimed at reducing daycare costs.
