The mothers of six Lahabras who were declared to run as a teenager who fought his son

According to media reports, the mothers of six La Habra were sentenced to one year prison and two years of probation after intentionally running a 13-year-old boy caught up in a fight with his son.

Norma Alcazar, 49, was sentenced Friday and was taken into custody shortly afterwards. More than seven years after the incident, an Orange County ju apprentice was taken into custody nearly four months after being convicted of assault on fatal weapons and child abuse, the Orange County Register reported.

During the verdict hearing, she reportedly turned to the victim’s mother and said, “I want to apologise for the harm my actions caused.” The boy’s mother reportedly shed tears.

“I hope you are honest about it,” Orange County Superior Court Judge M. Mark Kelly told Alcazar. “You influenced many people.” Before being led by the court, the OC register said that the emotional Alcaza had accepted her family.

Prosecutors said Alcazar was driving a Ford expedition in February 2018. She first “smacked” him into her car, the register reported, but he stayed on his feet and tried to run across Harbour Boulevard.

Alcazar chases him, moving towards the harbor and the sidewalk near the Rahabra Boulevard, attacking him again, breaking his leg and securing him in the bushes. Two of her sons then escaped from the SUV, punched the injured boy and left a scream in pain, prosecutors said.

“She won’t call 911. She won’t check if this child is OK,” Assistant District Attorney Neil Albright said during the sentencing. “She doesn’t know if this child has an internal injury. She doesn’t know if he’s bleeding.”

Alcazar’s lawyers alleged that she mistakenly believed she was protecting her child.

Judge Kelly noted that Alcazar had no prior criminal history and said he opposed the two-year sentence sought by the prosecutor. In addition to prison time, she was ordered to complete an angry management program and suspended her driver’s license.

Good behavior could reduce the time spent in custody for Alcazar. Her two sons were arrested in connection with the case, but it is unclear whether they have been charged so far.
