Former President Joe Biden has claimed that he has been using teleprompters permanently during public events, including a left donor who has complained for months and shattered expectations of hearing from the 46th president during fundraising with dozens of supporters.
“For the majority of the campaign, Biden only spoke to me for a small private audience with the help of a teleprompter,” reported “New Book” 2024: How Trump lost the White House and the Democrats.” “The presence of the machine created very nasty interactions in intimate environments and bothered donors who paid thousands of dollars for the president’s personal views, who weren’t expecting a canned speech that could be seen on television.”
“He once read from a teleprompter in front of 30 people in the open kitchen at the Palo Alto Mansion,” the book continued. “Donators have complained for months about the president’s dependence on machines. The aides defended teleprompters as a tool to keep the famous garrual president on time.”
“2024: How Trump Takes the White House and the Democrats’ Lost America” was released Tuesday and was written by Josh Dorsey of the Wall Street Journal, Tyler Pager of the New York Times, and Isaac Arnsdorf of the Washington Post. It details the 2024 presidential election cycle, including Biden’s crater health issues.
Biden’s aides will expose Trump’s “weakness” in search of early discussion to showcase Biden’s “strength,” the book says.

The book details the president attended a campaign event at the home of Virginia Democrat Dan Bayers without a teleprompter, days after the June 2024 debate against President Donald Trump, who opened the floodgates to typical Democrats prior to the election, and days after Biden’s disastrous debate. The book claims that Biden only spoke for about six minutes.
“In Beyer’s House, the campaign wanted to prove that Biden could speak from the cuffs. No teleprompters were found. The president denounced his poor debate performance on a fierce travel schedule, saying he “almost fell asleep on stage.” He spoke for about six minutes,” the book elaborated.
The term “teleprompter” has appeared dozens of times in new books, primarily referring to the president’s dependence on machines, and concerns that using teleprompters is important to the president in order to avoid unexpected things as his health deteriorates.

“Officers who planned events at the White House tried to avoid surprises and unpredictable circumstances. If the president were to speak, he would go to the podium and make a statement from the teleprompter, and there was no room for creativity or spontaneity.”
“Everyone could see the president aging. He sometimes couldn’t recognize the former staff of the function. Still, the current aides insisted that his decline was strictly physical.

The new book reveals Biden’s inner circle worried about a year when his debate performance fails
Biden has already been plagued by allegations and concerns that his mental vision has slipped as he enters the 2024 reelection cycle and is not mentally fit for him to continue serving as president. Fox News has reported on Biden’s apparent health decline since at least 2020.

Biden dismissed the claims throughout 2024 when he saw his arguments with Trump tripping his words in June of that year, speaking in a tenor far more calm than the vice president, and sometimes losing his line of thought. The debate opened the floodgates to help Biden come aside and criticize Democrats that the mantle should be handed over to younger generations of Democrats.

After weeks of White House and campaign staff pledged Biden, Biden stayed in the race and announced in a social media post on a Sunday afternoon in July 2024 that he had dropped out of the race. He approved then-President Kamala Harris to run for the oval office, giving her just 100 days to launch her own campaign that failed to gain enough support when playing against Trump.
Fox News Digital contacted Biden’s office regarding claims about the new book but did not receive a reply immediately.
