A San Bernardino County woman faces a charge of murder after a 55-year-old man paid her to engage in a fetish act filmed for the only fan page.
Police said Escondido resident Michael Dale was the first to contact 31-year-old Michaela Brassai Lylesdam in March and April 2023.
In a text and message reviewed by investigators, the 55-year-old demanded that Rylaarsdam be wrapped in saran wrap like a mummy, glued the woman’s boots to his feet.
Rylaarsdam reportedly told investigators that her final encounter on April 17, 2023 was the first time she had engaged in fetish behavior.
According to a report in the register, the encounter was conveyed between two adults who agreed to what appears to be bondage, discipline, domination, submission, sadism and masochism, also known as BDSM.
The 55-year-old looked drunk when Lillardsdam arrived at the Escondido home where Dale had rented a room around 6pm, according to an affidavit for arrest warrant. Despite that observation, Rylaarsdam decided to move forward with the encounter, authorities said.

That night, around 10pm, police received a 911 call and found that at age 55, Rylaarsdam was running CPR. One of the victim’s roommates said the 31-year-old woman was alongside the 911 dispatcher who had been coaching her through CPR.

Unwilling to be identified, the roommate described Rylaarsdam as “super-splitting” during the ordeal.
According to the register, Dale, who was rushed to the hospital, was declared brain dead the following day and was removed from life support a few days later. Authorities say his cause of death was his cause of death, choking and lack of oxygen in the brain.
According to the affidavit, Rylaarsdam handed her phone over the 55-year-old video of her fighting to inhale with duct tape over his mouth, wrapping his legs, tied his wrists, fingers covered with duct tape, or fingers wrapped over his head that he couldn’t remove, according to the affidavit.
The document further says that because Dale has not responded, Lillalsdam is engaged in nearby sexual acts and has created content for the only fan page, a site where creators may interact with subscribers.
Police say the 31-year-old woman refused to place the bag on the victim’s head.
San Diego Assistant District Attorney David German, who is indicting the case, said the evidence supports the second-degree murder charge.
“The evidence showed he hired her to do bondage and fetish acts. There is no indication that he asked her to interfere with his breathing, he asked her to place the tape on his mouth and a plastic bag on his head.”
Rylaarsdam’s defense attorney David Cohen apparently had no intention of killing, and the evidence that she was called 911 gives CPR and adds that she is working with investigators.
“There was no intention to kill him, and I don’t think there was any attempt to hide this,” Cohen said. “And she acted appropriately when she realized this was a problem.”
Imperatrix Nox, a dominatrix on the board of thresholds at the Los Angeles BDSM venue, was not involved in the incident, but the BDSM community encouraged education and training in fetish activities, and participants were “very safe-conscious.”
“Some fantasies should be left in the realm of fantasy,” she said to OC outlet. “Some people cross that line, when things tend to lie down.
Regarding Rylaarsdam, she is currently in custody without bail and has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
