The nonprofit, created by Paris Hilton, has started to throw more than $1 million in grants to women-owned small businesses, in collaboration with GoFundMe.org and the Pasadena Women’s Business Center.

The grant program, announced in February through Hilton’s 11:11 Media Impact organization, was originally expected to provide a $25,000 grant to around 12 female-owned businesses. However, according to social media and reality television personality, a combination of “powerful application pours” and additional funds from gofundme.org expanded the program to 50 recipients, each receiving up to $25,000.
“From childcare centres and nearby restaurants to florists, fitness studios and boutiques, these women are restructuring what is most important.
Personally, I just want each and every one of these women to know.
She added:
As part of the grant program, $25,000 was donated to Pasadena Women’s Business Center at Pasadena City College.
“When small businesses thrive, the interests of our entire community. At Pasadena Women’s Business Center, our mission is to ensure that all entrepreneurs who try to pursue their dreams have an opportunity to succeed,” said Lizzie Okoro Davidson, director of the center, in a statement in February.
“We witnessed first-hand the devastating effects of the fire, but we also saw resilience, hope and determination. Alongside Gofundme.org, our partnership with Paris Hilton and the 11:11 Media, we can turn that resilience into a real recovery.
