The new trailer for Alec Baldwin’s Western film “Rust” was released more than three years after the fatal onset shooting of filmmaker Harina Hutchins.
The nearly two-minute trailer features an aged Baldwin wearing a cowboy hat and a gray beard. He plays Outlaw Haaland Last, who appears in secret to help 13-year-old Lucas Hollister, played by Patrick Scott McDermott.
“The only order in this world is the order we impose. If a person sees it and loses it, he has nothing,” he hears.

Later, in the trailer, Baldwin sits next to the campfire, saying, “Something in this life you can’t return.”
The film also stars Travis Fimmel, Frances Fisher, Jake Busey, Hosh Hopkins and Devon Joel Werkheiser.
“Rust is a heartfelt, emotional story built in the struggles of a new frontier. It is a ripple story seen in a world where a single act of violence can send through generations and where the line between good and evil is often unclear.
In 2021, Baldwin, the film’s lead actor and co-producer, pointed his gun at Hutchins when Revolver left, killing Hutchins and the injured Joel Sousa.

The incident forced the filming to be suspended, and was eventually completed in 2023.
He pleaded not guilty to charges of involuntary manslaughter in the shooting death of Hutchins. He was scheduled for trial in July 2024 until the judge dismissed the case based on misconduct by police and prosecutors over withholding evidence from the defense. For this reason, the judge said the case could not be re-submitted.
The film’s armor is Hannah Gutierrez Reid, sentenced to 18 months in prison for involuntary manslaughter. She was convicted in April 2024.
“Rust” will be held in the theater on May 2nd.
