A month-long search for Hannah Kobayashi ended this week when her family announced they had found her safely.

The announcement came after Los Angeles police said they had tracked the Maui woman to Mexico and that she appeared to be safe with no signs of criminal activity.

Here’s a timeline of what we know.

November 8th

According to his family, Kobayashi landed at Los Angeles International Airport from Maui but missed his connecting flight to New York. The Los Angeles Police Department claimed that Kobayashi intentionally missed the flight, but his family disputed this.
Relatives receive cryptic text messages from Ms. Kobayashi suggesting someone is trying to steal her money and identity.
Kobayashi stayed overnight in Los Angeles and showed up the next day at Taschen Bookstore near the Globe Shopping Center.

November 10th

Kobayashi is seen on video attending the LeBron XXII Trial Experience near the Grove and returning to LAX, according to a statement from his family. Kobayashi also posted black and white photos of the event on Instagram.

November 11th

Kobayashi was seen talking to a ticket agent at LAX. Her family said she boarded the LAX Metro C line from the Aviation/Century station near LAX around 9 p.m.
She transferred at the Willowbrook/Rosa Parks station in south Los Angeles, and video footage shows her leaving the Pico station near downtown with an unknown person.

November 12th

Kobayashi was seen again on video at around 6:30 a.m. at the Greyhound Bus Terminal at Union Station in downtown Los Angeles, her family said.
Just hours later, Kobayashi entered Mexico through the San Ysidro border crossing, police said. Los Angeles Police Department officials said they reviewed surveillance video from the U.S. Border Patrol on Dec. 2.

Authorities found the body of Kobayashi’s father, Ryan, near Los Angeles International Airport. He had flown to Los Angeles to help search for his daughter. Authorities deemed his death an apparent suicide. Relatives released a statement saying: “Hannah’s father, Ryan Kobayashi, tragically took his own life after 13 days of tireless searching throughout Los Angeles. This loss has caused immeasurable pain to our family. It got worse.”

December 3rd

Los Angeles police officials said there was no evidence of criminal activity in Kobayashi’s disappearance and that video showed her crossing the border into Mexico.
The Los Angeles Police Department has classified her as a “voluntarily disappeared person” and says there are no signs of criminal activity.
In a statement, Kobayashi’s family said they would not give up on the search and called on law enforcement and the public to “remain focused on finding her and avoid making speculative conclusions.”

December 11th

Kobayashi’s family released a statement saying that he had been found safe. “We are incredibly relieved and grateful that Hannah was found safely,” the statement said. “This past month has been an unimaginable challenge for our family. We ask for privacy as we allow time to heal and process all that we have been through.”
It is unclear where Kobayashi was found or why she disappeared.
