The sloppy things on the Homeland Security “sanctuary cities” list are the key points

The Department of Homeland Security’s “Sanorical Jurisdiction List” has more holes than the plot in the latest “Mission Impossible” film.

All you need to know about its accuracy is how my home country of Orange County carried it.

The only OC city on the list is Huntington Beach. “The full council sticks that California is suing for being a sanctuary state will declare in January a “non-Sun Cruari” community and place plaques with an acrostic “Maga” message outside the city’s main library.

Not on the list? Santa Ana has long been a synonym for undocumented immigration, declared it a sanctuary city in 2016 and has a deportation defense fund for its residents.

More funny error: Livingston, the first city in Central Valley to declare it a sanctuary for immigration in 2017, is not on the list. But San Diego County’s Santee is famous for racism that people still call it “Crantee.”

There is also a representative. Have you heard of it? me too. It turns out to be the name of the post offices in two places not exactly known as sanctuaries, not cities, but in two places: Folsom State Prison and California State Prison, Sacramento.

Within hours of his inauguration, Donald Trump signed an executive order entitled “Protecting American citizens from invasion.”

However, the May 29 list was removed from the Homeland Security website within a few days, probably due to the extremely flawed layout of the jurisdiction that is subject to penalty. It has not been backed up yet. This effort seemed rounded together by those who Googled the “sanctuary” and the city’s name, and swallowed anything that AI spewed without even having to cross-check with Wikipedia.

Trump’s opponents have already portrayed this fiasco as a symbol of an administration that loves to shoot themselves with their feet, then put their bloody feet in their mouths. But even worse.

The list shows how blinded the Trump administration has been by rage about illegal immigration. As far as the name of deportation and boundary walls is concerned, there is no mistake that is too big or too small for Trump to allow. The president’s obsession with linking all the imaginary diseases of this country to newcomers reminds Catoza Elder, a Roman republic politician who is said to have to “destroy Carthage” at the end of every speech, regardless of the topic.

So the pushback by politicians to the big, beautiful booboo of homeland security was quick and hilarious.

Huntington Beach Mayor Pat Burns listens to speakers discussing the city’s plans to make Huntington Beach a “non-Sun Cruari city for illegal immigration” during a city council meeting in January

(James Carbon)

Huntington Beach Mayor Pat Burns appeared on KCAL News, declaring Surf City’s inclusion was “pure negligence” and letting toddlers cling to Blankey on a small white bust of Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, Vista Mayor John Franklin was on the city council that voted in 2018 to support the Trump administration’s failed lawsuit against California’s sanctuary state law. He told ABC 10News San Diego that he thought Vista had made the list.

Hey, say the name of the city: Chula Vista, much cooler, Mui Latino town closer to the US-Mexican border than Vista. It is also listed and not a sanctuary city.

On the other end of the political spectrum, Rep. Lu Correa (D. Santa Ana) told the OC’s voice that he advised Santa Ana officials to “keep their heads low” and encouraged them not to do much about the sanctuary city status.

Immigration is more than any other part of the Trump agenda, and illustrates how to move Silicon Valley cliches faster and break things. His administration was given to a judge who accidentally deported people and ordered them to bring their middle finger back. Trump officials are currently shrugging as they ship immigrants to countries where immigration is not involved. Immigration agents are trying to arrest people in places that have long been considered an appearance, such as schools and places of worship.

Still, this isn’t enough for Trump yet.

Deportation rates are rising, but they still don’t approach Operation Wetback, an Eisenhower-era program that deported more than a million Mexicans, rather than at the level seen in years of the Biden and Obama administrations. Trump’s deportation dream team — Homeland Security Director Christie Noem, Border Emperor Tom Homan and White House Deputy Chiefs of Staff Stephen Miller — has denounced ICE officials for not doing any more to comply with Trump’s wishes.

The Sanctuary List embodies all of this. Who cares if the wreckage involves human life, or constitutional law? The key is sloppy. The cruelty is the key.

Homeland Security did not respond to my request to explain the flaws in the sanctuary’s jurisdiction list and why it was removed. Instead, the spokesman emailed a statement saying, “The list is constantly reviewed, always changed and updated regularly.” The statement said it was “based on an assessment of a number of factors,” according to a decision on whether to include the location.

Except for the truth, that seems to be the case.

Let’s laugh at the absurd mistakes you can. Really, Huntington Beach is undocumented immigrant-friendly, but can you think Santa Ana isn’t? Try to laugh as much as you can. Because things get much worse before they get better.
