One of the most dangerous and destructive pursuits in recent memory, unfolding on live television in Los Angeles County on Friday afternoon, involving drivers in a stolen work truck.
The suspect cut off multiple vehicles and missed pedestrians slightly as he escaped Whittier, Downey, Norwalk and Lakewood at speeds above 80 mph.
In Long Beach, Sky5 footage showed a desperate driver driving at the intersection of E. 7th Street and Termino Avenue, crashing into a car at a red light. The truck then rolled into the car park next to the Sherwin Williams Paint Store.
