Authorities are searching for the suspect who carjacked a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s truck in downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday.
LASD workers were in official duties near Spring and Temple Streets around 5am when the male suspect approached deputies at the scene.
A physical struggle continued before the suspect was successfully driven into the vehicle and stolen. The aide suffered minor injuries during the brawl and was treated at a local hospital.

The stolen truck was a versatile utility vehicle. After the investigation, deputies later discovered that the truck had been abandoned in the 14,900 block of South Western Avenue in Gardena.
Authorities confirmed that firearms and weapons issued by the department were not stolen during the ordeal, but four mobile phones are missing.
The suspect is said to be a black man in his mid-20s. He is about 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds. He had a shaved head and wore a black shirt and blue jeans.
“The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is working with other local law enforcement agencies to actively investigate this issue,” the officials said.
