Police are looking for a man who was seeking harassment from a 16-year-old girl walking down the streets of Whittier on Friday.
The girl was walking near Whittier Boulevard and Santa Garthordes Avenue when she approached the male suspect around 4pm
The man reportedly told her he wanted to do the thread act with her, police said.
The girl ran down the street and immediately called the police. The suspect fled the area on foot and finally saw him walking west down Whittier Boulevard.
Police arrived at the scene and searched the area, but no man was found. He is said to be a Hispanic man in the age of 30-40 with brown hair, mustache and a beard. He is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds.
He is believed to be wearing a white shirt and blue jeans and carried Target’s shopping bags during the incident, authorities said.
“Officers continue to be very prominent in the area and are continuing to look for suspects,” Whittier police said.
Anyone with footage of the incident or additional information about the incident will be asked to call the Whittier Police Station at 562-567-9240.
