Texas has passed a bill that creates an office of efficiency, like the federal government efficiency launched by President Donald Trump.
Texas SB14 sets up a Texas regulatory efficiency office and will try to reduce unnecessary rules and commitments when it is passed to law, when it is attempted to streamline state regulations.
“I prioritized SB 14 because President Trump has urged Texas to find ways to save taxpayers and businesses by reducing burdensome regulations. The miracle in Texas is that our common, conservative approach thrives, prospers, and maintains our economy strongly.

A Regulatory Efficiency Advisory Committee will also be established to advise the governor’s office and the Bureau of Efficiency. The panel consists of members representing regulated businesses, the general public, professional license holders, higher education and state institutions.
The bill outlines that public access to regulatory information will also increase by establishing an interactive website to search for state agency rules and information via topics, activities or NAICS codes.

To keep things transparent, the bill requires that the efficiency office must submit biennial reports to the governor and the Legislative Budget Committee to detail its activities, findings and recommendations.
Patrick says the bill is needed by Texans and will bring the money back into taxpayer’s pockets.

“The Texas economy is a vy hope for America and the world. The Texans understand that cutting red tape will keep more money in the taxpayer’s pockets. When Texans save money, the private sector is unlocked, Texans will create small businesses and the economy will grow,” Patrick said.

The bill is heading to a House committee before it can be voted by the Texas House of Representatives.
