The video on social media shows the moment when a late-night attack broke out near a cinema in Shimi Valley.
According to Simi Valley Police, the altercation involving a boy, which involves several boys, took place in a stately cinema on Tapo Canyon Road after midnight Friday. One adult victim was located at the scene and suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said first.
In a statement to KTLA on Sunday, a spokesperson for the Simi Valley Police Department provided details surrounding the investigation.
“On arrival, the victim of the assault was no longer on the scene,” the spokesman said. “Around 12:45am on August 2, SVPD was called by the victim and his mother regarding the attack. Officers responded to their residence and a criminal investigation was launched.”
The footage obtained by KTLA includes violence and many blasphemy. Viewers’ discretion is highly advised – a group of boys are seen punching and kicking one victim. Some are screaming for the group to go back to the car, while others are clearly upset and screaming and trying to fight.

Another angle of the same argument appears to portray the moments that led to a fight, indicating that the group attacking the victim appears to be covering their heads in self-defense.
One of the three videos included in the post (also included a slide of some photographs of the suspected suspect) shows one of the teens casually leaning casually on the Simi Valley Police Department Squad car right next to the officer at the time.
“I’m lying! Fake! Fake! Fake! I’m lying [sic]”You can hear the young man say with a mock accent before moving on to another tone of voice.” Gangsters – -t! I’m with all the cops… yeah, we own this s. ”

After trying to put his arm on one of the officers’ shoulders, the teen is told to ride a police car. I’ve heard someone is threatening to tell his father. However, the video ends there. Many social media posts about the incident claim that one of the attackers is the son of an SVPD officer.

More footage of an argument between a group of young people and the victims is shown after the video is over. The victim, who had lifted his chair in self-defense, was surrounded by a group, and he was throwing blasphemy at him.
The victim then fled, but his assailant began to pursue and beg him in the outdoor area.

Another Facebook post claimed that the victim could have been targeted in a racially motivated attack. The post, which is allegedly published by the victim’s sister, has been hit hard by her brother, and has said, “Eight people are [or] More” the assailant had thrown a slur at him.
“They punched him into their head and punched his back and mouth to the point where he was now missing his teeth. [They] Jasmine Gonzalez’s post said he was “kicking him and dragging him in with his sweater.” [N word] Hard r…”

In Sunday’s update, the department confirmed that one of the boys at the scene was “related to a member of the Shimi Valley Police Station,” but they did not provide the exact nature of the particular name or relationship.
The spokesman said the employee in question was not involved in the ongoing investigation as the employee was not on the scene, and the relationship “is not relevant to this investigation.”
Whether anyone will be charged in connection with the case, and if so, the claims they may face are unknown. Authorities have not ruled out the possibility of a hate crime.
“At this point, it remains unclear what began the argument and whether it could constitute a potential hate crime,” a source with the Simi Valley Police Station said.
Investigators continue to think about video evidence and witnesses in the interview. Anyone with information about this incident or recording a video is encouraged to contact Juarez officials at 805-217-7905.
The incident happened the day before another group of boys entered an argument that became violent in Santa Clarita. In that case, the teen was taken into custody to break a bottle on another teen’s head.
