Former first lady Jill Biden needs to answer her role in “concealing” her husband and former president Joe Biden’s mental decline, according to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.
Several books published in 2025 detail Biden’s worsening mental capabilities at the White House. This was released on May 20th, including “The Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Concealment, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again.”
“The former first lady should certainly talk about what she saw about her husband and what she knew when she saw it, because I think anyone who has seen Joe Biden’s video and photo evidence with your own eyes can see that this is a clear cover-up,” Leavitt said. “And Joe, Jill Biden certainly conspired to cover up that.”

“Last week there’s a documentary about clearly protecting my husband from cameras in “The View,” Leavitt told reporters Thursday. “She said, ‘It’s all fine.’ She’s still lying to the American people.

Written by journalist CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios’ Alex Thompson, “Original Sin” contains the story of how former President Joe Biden struggled to handle some rather routine aspects of the campaign.
For example, his team said they tried to film a campaign video of an ad on TV at a high school gym, and tried to get people to ask questions similar to a city hall meeting.

“The campaign was trying to make the president seem like he was asking cufflink questions to voters in public,” the book said. “But the event was closed to reporters and the campaign had a complete list of questions people were asking.”
Still, former President Joe Biden encountered so many “troubles” that his team decided to cut footage. Some blamed Jim’s poor lighting, but the book said the real problem remains with the former president.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden’s team has documented the 2024 election cycle and pushed back the material of “original sin” that is said to have plotted cover-ups to hide how badly his mental abilities have faded.

“There is nothing in the book that shows Joe Biden did not do his job, as the authors claim, and he did not prove their claim that there was a cover-up or conspiracy,” a Biden spokesman said earlier in a statement to Fox News Digital. “They show nowhere that our national security is under threat, or that the President was not engaged in any important issues of the presidency. In fact, Joe Biden was an effective president who led our country with empathy and skill.”
