The Republican Governors Association (RGA) has issued a statement in response to language changes.
Evers’ “latest left push” is “aggressive to the mother,” RGA executive director Sara Craig said in a statement. “Being a mother is the greatest privilege of my life, and every mother I know feels the same. Earlier this month, Trump called another order on gender ideology “protecting men from female sports.” This order is designed to prevent trans athletes from competing with women.
At an event at the White House on Friday, the president made a fierce exchange with D-ME Gov. Janet Mills, threatening to withdraw federal funds if the state fails to comply with the order. The exchange ended by saying they would see others in court over the matter.
