New talent is appearing in the NBA.
The 2025 draft featured a wide range of players. Duke’s Prospect Cooper Flag is the most coveted player in this class, and overall he will be the first to advance to the Dallas Mavericks.
Flag was joined by fellow Blue Devil Concnupel in the top five after the Charlotte Hornets won the wing in fourth overall. Rutgers also saw two prospects go to the first five as the San Antonio Spurs got combo guard Dylan Harper on No. 2 and the Utah Jazz chose Wing Ace Bailey on No. 5.
In third overall, the Philadelphia 76ers added more guard depth along with Baylor’s VJ Edge.com and Tyreze Maxie.
Their hometown Brooklyn Nets have accumulated first-round picks this year with the aim of returning to the playoff mix with the right core. They handled ball handling ahead of the lottery at No. 8 before adding playmakers and wings later in the round.
