That’s the time. Days are getting longer, the weather is warmer and it’s likely to take months for rain to fall. So I thought it was a great opportunity to revisit our guide to the best rooftop bars in LA and to win the new number one.
That honor comes to Dante Beverly Hills, the 9th floor rooftop of the Mabourne Hotel, with top-notch cocktails and dreamy hill views. If you take the “rooftop” part out of the equation, the quality of the experience that withstands the actual bar will crumble on most rooftops, but Dante’s drinks are so good that you’ll stand up to the best bars in LA, the era.
“The panoramic views are amazing, and while heading towards the perches for the classic city skyline, Dante will absolutely smoke the competition after quality drinks and ambience,” says Patricia Kelly Yoh, editor of Food and Drinks in LA.

The rooftop will incorporate some of the essentials from the acclaimed Italian-style neighbourhood spots that are the long-running founder of New York, adding the 90210 Ritz. The luxurious setting makes for an ideal backdrop regardless of what you order, but Yeo recommends choosing one of the 10 equally great iterations of the martini, as well as a signature “fluffy” orange juice Garibaldi, as well as some old-man-based pieces unique to the LA Outputs.
Logistically, some of the hype has been chilling since Dante’s 2023 opening, but you’ll want to make a reservation on weekends and at sunset. Expect to pay between $19 and $30 per cup. It’s certainly a higher price than average, but it’s a cost worthy of quality and consistency.
