Temperatures are dropping Friday and showers are moving into Southern California.
“The forecast is for some rain in some areas. It’s not going to cause any major problems, but it could slow things down a little bit,” said KTLA meteorologist Henry DiCarlo.
Images show patches of rain falling around the area in the early morning hours, including a brief but fairly heavy downpour that hit the Rancho Cucamonga area around 3:45 a.m.

Heavy rain is not expected, but a chance of showers will continue in most areas into Friday night.
Mr Henry said the threat of rain was greater than actual rain, although occasional light rain could dot the windshield.
High-elevation resort areas like Big Bear could see a small amount of snow as Friday’s event brings temperatures about 10 degrees below average.
Santa Ana winds are expected to return to moderate to strong winds Sunday and into next week, with a gradual warming trend expected, the National Weather Service said in its forecast.
