The pursuit in Orange County ended with a fatal crash early Wednesday morning, officials say.
Preliminary information shows a fatal collision occurred on the northbound span of the 5th Expressway near Brookhurst Street in Anaheim around 4:45am.
The officials are believed to be suspected of robbery being chased by Anaheim police. Three of them died in crash crashes, but two of them were hospitalized, APD confirmed.
Their condition was not immediately known.

Sky5 video shows the suspect’s vehicle was roofed on the embankment adjacent to the highway. It didn’t appear that other cars were involved in the collision.
As of 5:30am on Wednesday, traffic was backed up to about half a mile with each Sky5’s rich pricket. At the time, only two lanes were open.
Commuters are advised to seek alternative routes as the area is expected to be blocked for several hours while the investigation is underway.
“Backup expects to grow throughout the morning,” Prickett said.
