A person of interest is in custody after three people were found dead with multiple stab wounds inside a Baldwin Park home Thursday night.
Shortly before 7 p.m., police were called to the 4700 block of Bogart Avenue near Cavett Place.
Baldwin Park police officers arrived in about five minutes and saw someone inside a vehicle parked in the driveway of the home, Lt. Modica of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed.
The individual accelerated out of the roadway and crashed into a nearby cul-de-sac.

The driver, described only as a man, was taken into custody and held as a person of interest, Modica said.
Inside the home, investigators found three victims, believed to be two women and a man, suffering from multiple stab wounds. All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s name and age have not been released, and his relationship with those involved is unknown.
“It’s safe to say this was not a random act of violence. There is a connection, but that needs to be determined during the investigation,” Modica said.
The motive for the stabbing is also unknown, but Modica said there was no threat to the community.
