Los Angeles (KTLA) – Topanga Canyon cannot be rested.
Heavy rains on Thursday caused several landslides that filled a heavily migrated route between the San Fernando Valley and the Pacific Coast Highway.
Sky5 footage early Friday morning showed several feet of mud covering Topanga Canyon Boulevard partially filled with signs and utility poles.

Caltrans workers were just beginning to assess the extent of the damage.
The lower part of Topanga Canyon Boulevard has already been closed for over a month due to the Palisade fire, and in 2024 it was closed like a massive rock.
Over the past two days, the area has received more than two inches of rain from the same storm, causing landslides elsewhere in the Los Angeles area, including wildfire scars.
The PCH from Santa Monica to Malibu has already been closed due to the Palisade fire and we saw the tile debris fill the road. On Thursday evening, in a horrifying incident, workers at the Los Angeles fire station escaped narrowly as the SUV was rushed to the sea, rushing debris along the PCH.
