Trader Joe’s has issued a recall of organic acai bowls over the possibility that the product may contain plastic, the company announced late last week.
A representative for Trader Joe told Nexstar on Thursday that the frozen product had been removed from sales as of February 14th and is currently unavailable in stores.

Customers who purchase organic acai bowls from Trader Joe should listen to the announcement of the recall, which is representative of Trader Joe, regardless of the date of purchase or the best date. Representatives did not say when or if the company planned to return the bowl to the shelf.
