Two security guards were injured in a violent “unprovocated attack” at North Hollywood Metro station on Saturday evening, one of them urged the fire to open, Lametro officials revealed Monday.
The situation unfolded around 5:20pm at the street level guard booth at the station on Rankershim and Chandler Boulevard.
The first report showed that a person attacked the guard with a knife or another sharp object.
“During the conflict, one of the guards fired a firearm in self-defense and attacked the assailant who launched the attack,” La Metro said in a statement.
Both attackers whose identities were not released were taken to a local hospital for treatment. The nature of their wounds has also not been revealed.
