One of Trashy Lingerie’s owners, Los Angeles Lingerie and Costume Boutique, is said to have shot and killed his brother in order to save his mother.
A Los Angeles County medical inspector ruled that 61-year-old Robert Schlier died on March 7th from a shotgun wound on the fuselage in a private home. The way to die is murder.
Randy Shrier, one of the co-owners of Trashy Lingerie, confirmed the Times that Robert Shrier is his brother. Randy declined to comment on the case, saying his family was still waiting for a final decision from the LA County District Attorney’s Office. He was said to have not been charged, and it was said to have been justified murder and ruled.
Filming occurred around 1:25pm in the 400 block of North Alfred Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The family conflict began when a 61-year-old man used a baseball bat to damage his mother’s personal belongings and windows, physically attacking her.
The woman called her 57-year-old son and he arrived to find her brother choking her mother, police said. The young son fired a warning shot with a shotgun, but the choking continued.
The 57-year-old “feels that she had no choice but to shoot her brother to save her mother’s life,” police said. The shooting was considered “a legitimate murder, not a detective murder,” and the young son was not arrested. Police refused to release their names.
The mother needed sutures due to head injuries, LAPD said. The agency confirmed that no murder-related charges were filed with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
“The archer saved his mother’s life,” said LAPD Det. Samuel Marlo told KTLA. “He had no choice but to kill his brother. And was he choking at 80 while your face was shattered to the ground? That certainly would have caused her death.”
Trashy Lingerie was founded in 1973 by local shoe designer Mitch Shrier and his wife Tracy, Randy’s parents. Mitch passed away a few years ago and the boutique is run as a family business.
The violent altercation occurred near a family boutique on Rasienega Boulevard.
