The Home Office announced Thursday that in the first three months of 2025, the federal government generated approximately $40 million in revenue from oil and gas lease sales on public land.

The development proves the value of President Donald Trump’s vision to unleash America’s energy control, the chief official said.

“The lease sales this quarter demonstrate an interior’s unwavering commitment to promoting American energy domination and we are grateful to those who generate energy on federal land,” Interior Secretary Doug Burgum said in a statement.

“Based on the common sense and pro-post policies of the Trump administration, it ensures that public land is being used to provide the maximum potential to support the national security, economic strength and livelihoods of the American people.”

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), sponsored by Bulgham, has leased 34 land parcels for fossil fuel development since January.

These 25,038 acres resulted in $39,007,609 in total receipts.

Proceeds are split between the federal government where the lease was sold and the specific state.
