Exclusive: House Republicans are getting updates on the Trump administration’s investigation into the impact of billionaire George Soros on local radio.
The Republican Research Committee (RSC), a powerful 175-person caucus led by R-Texas, led by Pfluger in August, held Federal Communications Commission (FCC) president Brendanker at its annual Closed Door Ranch on Wednesday. Masu.
According to sources familiar with the plan, Carr could briefly explain GOP lawmakers about FCC’s Soros investigation, including investment companies linked to purchasing more than 200 bespoke Macy radio stations nationwide. He said he was expected.

The RSC is the largest group of lawmakers within the House GOP and traditionally serves as an informal think tank for the conference.
This year, it has also been a conduit for several top Trump administration officials on Capitol Hill so far.
Deputy Chief of Staff Trump, Stephen Miller, worked on the RSC last month on immigration and Trump’s plan of enforcement action. And at the beginning of February, the group heard from energy secretary Chris Wright.

The investment company, which linked Soros, a left-wing businessman who sunk billions of dollars into a liberal cause, became the biggest stakeholder of radio giant Audiacy late last year at the tail-end of the Biden administration.
The Soros Investment Fund acquired approximately 40% of Order Macy’s debt after filing Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Republican lawmakers include Chip Roy and R-La of R-Texas. both denounced the deal, including Senator John Kennedy of the company, and both sought intense scrutiny.

In an interview with Maria, Kerr wanted to aim for Soros at the end of last year.
“There’s a petition right now to be rethinked at the FCC, and I want to see it very well,” he said in late November.
