The Trump administration has eliminated more than 1,000 jobs at the US Agency for International Development (USAID), but is departing around the world just before midnight on Sunday, while managing the majority of its remaining staff.

The Associated Press reported that it has learned from the Trump administration that 1,600 posts will be eliminated after considering notifications sent to USAID workers.
