New York Gov. Kathy Hochul’s office said Friday that she and President Trump had a “productive” meeting at the White House, discussing several topics such as tariffs and energy.
“Governor Hochul and President Trump covered a wide range of topics at today’s meeting, including the redevelopment of Penn Station, traffic jams, fees and energy policy,” a spokesman from her office shared with Fox News Digital.
“We didn’t get into a formal agreement or decision, but it’s a productive conversation and we look forward to continuing the dialogue in the coming weeks.”
The White House also confirmed the meeting to Fox News Digital, but said it was off-record and there were no reads.

“Kathy Hochul, such a lovely woman. She’s here to see me tomorrow at 9am,” Trump told reporters Thursday.
He added that he will discuss the revival of the constitutional natural gas pipeline from Pennsylvania to New York, among other topics.
They met in the tension between the two, including excessive crowd pricing. The Trump administration has ordered the end of crowd pricing by next Friday.
In February, Trump posted from his White House X account. “Crowded pricing is dead, saving everything in Manhattan and New York.

“New York said it has not been working for the King for over 250 years,” Hochul said at a press conference.

“There is a huge disconnect between what New Yorkers are facing and the real awareness of reality from the White House,” she added at a New York Department of Transportation meeting this week. “I assure you that the President couldn’t stand missing a child’s sporting event because he was stuck on a late train.”
Earlier this month, the Democratic governor said she would “lead resistance” against Trump.
In an interview with NPR’s “Morning Edition,” Hochul said she “fights hard” when asked about the sacrifice of the New York City crowd price that the Trump administration moved to the block last month.

“We provided olive branches. [We said] “We’ll work with you on the infrastructure. Let’s start over at Penn Station,” Hochur said. But when you draw us the first blood, we will come back hard. And I will lead the resistance of such policies that you are directly hurting New Yorkers. This is our decision, not yours. ”
But two weeks earlier, Hochul said he had no intention of leading resistance.

“I govern the great state of New York,” she told reporters.
