President Donald Trump announced several nominations and appointments on Thursday, including positions fighting anti-Semitism.
Trump has chosen to serve Yehuda Caprone, a well-known Miami-based businessman and long-time confidant to the president as ambassador, as a special US envoy to monitor and fight anti-Semitism.
“Yehuda is a successful businessman and a solid defense of the Jewish faith and the right of his people to live and worship freely from persecution,” Trump wrote on his true social platform. “As anti-Semitism is growing dangerously, Yehuda will become the strongest representative of Americans and Jews around the world and promote peace. Congratulations.

Former US Congressman Mark Walker, RN.C. was appointed US ambassador for international religious freedom.
Former pastor Walker “will work very hard to expose human rights abuses, defend faith and help ensure life-saving outcomes,” Trump wrote.
In a post on X, Walker thanked Trump, saying, “I’m looking at the bad actors and communities who commit these atrocities against people of faith.”

“Religious expression is the foundation of human rights, and whether it’s on a university campus in New York or sub-Saharan Africa, I am not merciless to fight for targeted people who dare to live their faith,” he wrote. “I am grateful for the support of my beautiful wife and family. May God provide the way and have the courage to follow us.”
Trump said William “Billy” Marshall III, commissioner of the West Virginia Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, will be the next director of the Department of Prisons.
