President Donald Trump called on Sen. Adam Schiff, a Democrat of California, to face prison time while calling recently declassified documents claiming “manufactured and politicized intelligence news” to create a story about Russia’s attempts to influence the 2016 presidential election.
“Adam ‘Shifty’ Schiff has a big problem!” Trump posted on the night of Truth Social Sunday. “He forged the loan documents. He once said my son went to jail for that scam along with other bent dems that were illegally “manufactured” to set the actual coup. ”
“My son did nothing wrong, he knew nothing about the fictional story,” he added. “It was an American tragedy! Now Shifty should pay the price of prison for real crime, not made by corrupt accusers!”
Schiff is said to have been said in “multiple examples” that “falsify bank documents and asset records to affect Potomac payments in Maryland-based Potomac.”

FHFA is an independent federal agency that oversees Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and the federal mortgage banking system.
Schiff’s office did not respond to a request for comment on Fox News Digital on Monday morning.
Trump publicly accused Schiff of mortgage fraud on Tuesday, but Fannie May’s financial crime investigation concluded last week with a letter to FHFA that Schiff allegedly engaged in a “persistent pattern of misrepresentation that could be residing in five Fannie May loans,” Fox News Digital reported earlier.
“I’ve always suspected Shifty Adam Schiff was a con man,” Trump posted on Truth Social on Tuesday. “And now I know that Fannie May’s financial crimes division concludes that Adam Schiff is engaged in a persistent pattern of possible mortgage fraud.”
“Adam Schiff said his main residence is in Maryland, and when he had to live in California, he was a California lawmaker, he was in Maryland to get a cheaper mortgage and strip the United States. I always knew that Adam Schiff was a fraudster. The fraud began with a refinance of Maryland’s property on February 6, 2009, and until Maryland’s property continued its property on October 13th, 13020.
Schiff passed the allegations as a continuation of Trump’s history denouncement of liberal lawmakers.

“Since I led his first bounce each, Trump has repeatedly called on me to be arrested for treason,” Schiff posted to X after first accusing Schiff of mortgage fraud in early July. “So, in a way, I think this is a bit of a disappointment. And this unfounded attempt at political retaliation will not stop me from holding him accountable. It’s not a long shot.”

Trump and Schiff have long been political enemies, highlighted during Trump’s first administration when Schiff served as chief manager in the first round each trial against Trump in 2020, and when Schiff repeatedly promoted allegations that the 2016 campaign conspired with Russia.
A few days after President Trump first posted about Schiff’s mortgages in Maryland and California, the president’s National Intelligence Director Tarsi Gabbard reportedly showed “overwhelming evidence” by then-President Barack Obama and his national security team to encourage longtime Trump conspiracy after then-President Barack Obama and his national security team advanced years of Trump-Russia collusion to win Trump’s election against former Hillary secretary in 2016.
“These over 100 documents you refer to, these over 100 documents I’ve declassified and released, will spell out exactly in detail what happens when we directly lead some of the most powerful people in our country at the helm, American people,” Gabbard told Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Friday night.

Trump accused “con man” Schiff of committing mortgage fraud by lying about his Maryland home
She argued that Obama and his team’s goal was essentially “not accepting American decisions” in 2016, and to use this “some of the manufactured politicized intelligence” as a way to enact “a longtime coup against President Trump.”
Sif was an incredibly voiced lawmaker amongst allegations of Russian conspiracy. Most notably, when the House of Representatives denounced him in 2023 for his promotion, which Trump’s campaign conspired with Russia. Schiff served in the House of Representatives representing California from 2001 to 2024. He was sworn as a senator after the 2024 campaign successfully campaigned in serving in the country’s Senate.

Schiff served as a ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee from 2015 to 2019 before becoming chairman of the committee from 2019 to 2023. In that role, Schiff was kept up to date with the classified material surrounding Russian conspiracy claims.
Schiff argued in 2018 that the president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., was facing a subpoena in order to conspire with Russia to secure the election. Mueller’s investigation, which concluded in March 2019, took part in Russia’s claims that it determined there was no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
