President Donald Trump was attacked by former President Joe Biden as he was allegedly shot in the face by illegal immigrants on a long criminal rap sheet in New York City.
“Last night, in New York City, an incredible CBP officer was shot in the face by an illegal alien monster that was released under Joe Biden,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social Post Sunday. “He was arrested at the border in April 2023, but was released in exchange for deportation.”
The suspect was identified by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as 21-year-old Miguel Francisco Mora Nunez, a Dominican citizen. The DHS confirmed that Nunes was arrested in April 2023 in Border Patrol near San Luis, Arizona, but was released to the US by the Biden administration.
The agency also told Fox News that Nunez has an aggressive warrant to lure him in Massachusetts, in addition to his previous felony arrest. At a press conference on Sunday, New York Mayor Eric Adams said Nunes had been arrested in advance for assault and violating a protective order. Adams said Nunes also had an active bench warrant from the Bronx, and had been asked for robbery and stabbing from January since last December.

“The Democrats have killed criminal invaders in our country, and now they have to be all thrown away or, in some cases, charged immediately for not having a chance of them coming back,” Trump added. “That’s how evil and dangerous they are!”
Authorities said Nunes was on a car scooter with another suspect and attempted to take CBP officials to sit at Riverside Park on Saturday night.

The officer, who has not yet been identified, pulled out his gun to protect himself. Police said both officers and Nunes were shot multiple times. Nunes walked to an area hospital after the shooting, police said. Officers are expected to recover from injuries.
Trump added that the outspoken officer “has bravely fought his attackers despite his wounds and showed enormous skill and courage.”

Adams said Nunes was taken into custody.
“He inflicts violence on our city and once he is charged with the crime last night, we will be able to add an attempted murder to his rap sheet,” Adams said.
DHS has filed detention officers against Nunes.
