President Donald Trump took him to the true society early Thursday and called for Republicans who still refused to accept a House procedural vote on the “big beautiful bill.”
With votes stagnated late Wednesday, with five Republican “Naz” and eight more Republicans still not voting, the president touted the benefits the country is poised to gain from passing the bill.
“The biggest tax cuts in history, the biggest tax cuts in history, the biggest tax cuts in history, and the failed economy,” Trump wrote in the Society of Truth before turning his anger into a GOP holdout: “What are Republicans waiting for?

Trump later wrote that votes should be “easy yes” for Republicans, calling holdouts “rejecting votes.”
A procedural “rules vote” allows lawmakers to discuss before heading to the president’s desk before the final vote on the “big beautiful bill.”
By early Thursday, the next House Republican had no on the procedural vote. They changed votes to Andrew Clyde of Georgia, Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania, Keith Self of Texas, Victoria Spartz of Indiana, and Thomas Massey of Kentucky – “Yay.”
When asked why he switched votes, Massie told Fox News Digital, “Because most of the world is not worried about the difference between rule-solving and final-passing votes.”

The next Republican lawmakers have yet to vote for Josh Brechen of Oklahoma, Tim Burchett of Tennessee, Eric Burrison of Missouri, Michael Harris of Texas, Andy Harris of Missouri, Scott Perry of Pennsylvania, and Chip Roy of Texas.

Leaving the room with other holdouts and bill critics just after 1am on Thursday, Burchett told reporters, “I think we’re just very close to something.”
But he wouldn’t have said how he would vote for legislation.
GOP lawmakers can only afford to lose three votes. Republican leaders are trying to open the current vote for more than four hours and put pressure on holdouts to get a majority vote.
House Speaker Mike Johnson remembered the lawmakers to Washington, hoping to seize momentum for the bill to pass in the Senate the day before, vowing to push ahead.
“Everyone wants to get to ‘Yes’,” Johnson told Fox News that the vote is ongoing.

Convened immediately for a vote on the 800-page bill, a high-risk gambit was designed to meet Trump’s holiday finish demands. Republicans have struggled heavily with the bill at almost every stage of the year, often succeeding at the narrowest margin, with only one vote.

Their slim 220-212 majority, with little room for exile.
