Trump calls for construction to resume at Keystone XL pipeline killed by Biden administrators

President Donald Trump has turned his attention to the Keystone XL pipeline Monday evening, hoping to build “Back to America and build it – Now!”

Trump said he “just thinks” how the construction of the pipeline was “repealed by the incompetent Biden administration,” and promised that things are now different under his leadership.

“I know they were treated very badly by sleepy Joe Biden, but the Trump administration is very different. Easy approval, almost instant start! Otherwise, perhaps a different pipeline company .

The pipeline has been at the forefront of political debate since the project began construction in 2010, and was eventually stopped before it was finished by former President Barack Obama. Trump revived it during his first term.

However, former President Joe Biden ordered the pipeline to be cancelled via executive order on his first day in office in January 2021, leading to thousands of unemployment.

TC Energy, operator of Keystone XL Pipeline, ultimately gave up the project in June 2021 as a result of Biden’s decision to cancel federal permits.

Then, in 2023, federal judges threw legal challenges from almost 20 states asking courts to restore pipeline permits.

According to TC Energy, the pipeline is expected to be completed in early 2023 and will transport an additional 830,000 barrels of crude oil from Canada to the US via its existing pipeline network. It was also predicted to create thousands of jobs, many of which were union jobs.

In December 2022, the Biden administration’s Department of Energy (DOE) said the Keystone XL project created 16,149-59,000 jobs, with a positive economic impact of $3.4-9.6 billion, citing various research. The report mentioned has been released.

“Joe Biden’s actions cost tens of thousands of jobs and billions of dollars, and all American families are still paying more every day,” says Daniel, founder and executive director of Power The Future. Turner shares it with Fox News Digital in a previous statement.

The system is designed to transport oil from Alberta to states such as Illinois, Texas and Oklahoma.

In January, Canadian Premier Daniel Smith said he was interested in talking to the Trump administration about possible reopening pipeline projects.

“The Keystone XL Pipeline reboot is consistent with President Trump’s agenda to reduce food and energy costs by strengthening North American energy infrastructure and reducing reliance on expensive imports,” he said. The CEO of the American Energy Institute (AEI) told Fox News Digital.

Another expert said Trump is likely to face lawsuits if he chooses to proceed with building the pipeline, but Congress could help limit legal action He said.
