President Donald Trump confirmed Wednesday that Chinese national president Xi Jinping is “very tough” and “very difficult to make a deal.”
Trump issued a statement about his true social platform, making it clear that he still “loves” Chinese leaders. The statement is because Trump is expected to call XI later this week to discuss tariff negotiations.
“I like President XI of China, and I always and always do that, but he is extremely difficult and very difficult to make a deal!!” Trump wrote.
Kevin Hassett, director of the White House National Economic Council, revealed Trump plans to talk to XI on Sunday.

“I expect President Trump to have a great conversation about trade negotiations with President XI this week, and that’s what we expect,” Hassett said in an interview with ABC News on Sunday, “this week.”
The plan for Trump’s call came after China levelled tariffs on Chinese goods by 145% when China retaliated against the US with its own tariffs, following the president’s mutual tariff plan in April.

“I traded quickly with China to save them from what I thought would be in a very bad situation. I didn’t want to see it happen. Because of this transaction, everything was stable quickly and China returned to business as usual. Everyone was happy! That’s good news!” Trump wrote.
“The bad news is that China is probably not surprising, but for some, it is completely violating the agreement with us. There’s a lot to be Nice Guy!” he added.
