Starting Monday, President Donald Trump revoked Secret Service protections from former U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Maylerkas.
The Secret Service confirmed to Fox News Digital that protective details of Mayorkas have been cancelled, according to a memorandum of understanding from the president.
No other details are provided to ensure the integrity of the Secret Service operation.
The former secretary’s safety protections were revoked a week after Trump announced that he would revoke former President Biden’s Secret Service protections for adult children.

Trump made an announcement in the Truth Social Post, saying Hunter Biden was protected by Secret Service “for a long period of time.”
“There are as many as 18 people in this detail, but that’s ridiculous!” Trump wrote. “Immediately, I recommend that Hunter Biden no longer receive Secret Service protections.”

Also, the one who lost protection was Hunter’s younger sister, Ashley Biden. Trump noted that 13 agents had been assigned to Ashley’s security details.
“We are aware of the President’s decision to end the protections of Hunter and Ashley Biden,” the Secret Service told Fox News Digital. “The Secret Service is actively complying with the protection details and the White House to ensure compliance as quickly as possible.”

The former president and his spouse are subject to lifelong secret service protection under federal law, but they extended the child details for six months before both Trump and Biden took office, but were given protection when the 16-plus edge was terminated, the Associated Press reported.
