President Donald Trump fired Chairman of Air Force Chief of Staff CQ Brown over the weekend for dramatic reforms to the Pentagon leader.
Trump announced on social media on Friday that he has replaced Brown, and plans to nominate retired Lt. Gen. Dan “Razin” Kane, serving as chairman of the co-headed, and serving as the military’s top officer I made it.
A report from Reuters states that Trump’s move is “unprecedented” and this is the first time the president has separated military officers from retirement to lead the co-head.
The move comes as Trump announces for the latest top military brass, including plans to replace Lisa Francetti, the woman who led one of the military divisions. It’s just one of many changes that have happened. Trump has also eliminated General Jim Suliff, the deputy Air Force Chief of Staff, with judges supporting Army, Navy and Air Force generals.

“I would like to thank General Charles’ CQ’ Brown for over 40 years of service to our country, including our current co-director president. He is an incredible gentleman and outstanding leader, and I am. I wish for a great future for him and his family, Trump wrote in a social media post.
Trump has campaigned heavily on the idea of removing “awakening” generals from the top of the military, particularly the idea of eliminating generals whom he believed were responsible for failing US exits from Afghanistan in 2021.
