“The President is planning a historic celebration of the Army’s 250th birthday, honoring a generation of selfless Americans who put everything at risk for our freedom,” Vince Haley, director of the White House National Policy Council, told Fox News Digital.
“Just 250 years ago, the first American patriots died due to the cause of independence. We owed freedom to them and to all the lawyers who have given our country life in the second centuries ever since.”
The parade comes after Trump signed an executive order in January to create “Task Force 250.” It focuses on coordinating plans and activities to celebrate the 250th anniversary of American independence. The 250th anniversary of the founding of America is July 4th, 2026.
“As one of the first events of the year-long celebration of the 250th anniversary, the commemorative parade is an appropriate homage to the service, sacrifice and selflessness of brave men and women who dressed in uniform and gave their lives to defend the greatest experiment in Liberty known to Man.

Task Force 250 is based on a bicentennial celebration in the US half a century ago. The celebration “emphasized the national renewal of our establishment ideals after national unrest and divisional periods,” the White House told Fox News Digital.

Led by a major celebration of 2026, the White House celebrated the anniversary of major events in the American establishment, including the 250th anniversary of Patrick Henry’s “Give Me Liberty or Death Death,” the 250th anniversary of Paul Rebya’s famous ride in April, and the 250th anniversary of Lexington’s 250th anniversary.

The National Garden of American Heroes celebrates “American Heroes” after dozens of memorials to Americans, including the president and father.
The order also revives orders that protected American monuments, memorials and statues from destruction and vandalism.
The White House said the 250th anniversary of the United States would “give the American people the opportunity to unite a shared history and a common future as a nation.”
During Trump’s first term, he held a unique “Salute to America” event on July 4, 2019.
The event included a prominent display of tanks parked near the national mall and military hardware with military overpasses by a series of aircraft. It also included a speech from the president about the stairs at the Lincoln Memorial and a typical fireworks display.
