President Donald Trump predicted that there will be a ceasefire in Gaza “along next week.”
Speaking to reporters in the oval office on Friday, Trump called the situation in Gaza “a horrifying situation,” but expressed optimism, saying there could be a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas soon.
“I think it’s close. I just talked to some of the people involved,” the president said.

Trump also tackled the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, saying, “You know, we’re supplying the area with a lot of money and lot of food because you have to, because you have to. Theoretically, we’re not involved in it, but people are dying.”
He also called on other countries to send humanitarian assistance to Gaza.
“You essentially look at the people’s lines just to get one meal. But it’s a shame that other countries aren’t helping,” he said.

“No one is helping us do that because I think we have to be humanely based,” he continued. “I see a crowd of people with no food or anything, and we are the people who get it there. I know you give it, you give it, you take care of people, they’re supposed to steal food and sell it.
“We’re working on Gaza and we’re trying to take care of it. And you know that a lot of food has been sent out there, and other countries around the world should help,” he said.

This comes after Trump approved our strike at three Iranian nuclear development sites and subsequently declared a ceasefire between Israel and Iran, ending what he called the “12-Day War.”

President Trump also asked many questions about other issues, including those relating to Ukrainian weapons. There, he said it might “approve” the patriot missile for Ukraine’s air defense.
