President Donald Trump promoted the record-breaking funding number won by the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) at his annual presidential dinner Tuesday evening.
“You know, we’ve done very well in this room before,” Trump told attendees at the annual dinner Tuesday night. “But now we’ve broken all the records. I just heard from Mike Johnson, and he said, ‘We broke all the records, sir.” It has over $35 million.
The amount of funding achieved in Tuesday night’s dinner rivals is the one NRCC has earned throughout the quarter. In July, the group highlighted the haul of “record-breaking” funding for the second quarter of 2024. That was just $2 million more than what the NRCC could have won Tuesday night.

“We’ll do 45 or 50 million next year, right?” Trump asked the crowd, cheering. “A lot of people, you broke your record attendance, you broke your money record, and that’s a great respect for the Republican Party and the Party, and everything it represents.”
At the event on Tuesday, it could “given a level” of $310,100, with the lowest cost sheet being $6,000 per person or $10,000 per couple.
“You know, we have an incredible supporter of us and the Republican majority, and with the help of everyone in this room, the Republican Party will ignore history next year. We really ignore that.

“By billion dollars a day – do you believe it? We were told it was $2 billion a day,” Trump told the crowd. “I know I’m hit by reports about tariffs. We’re making $2 billion ($1 billion), not $35 million, it’s peanuts.
“And we have a lot of countries here, they want to do business, and we are doing it.
