President Donald Trump met with British Kiel Starmer on Monday, the day after Trump secured a trade deal with the European Union.
Trump took priority on the stairs in front of a golf resort in Turnberry, Scotland on Monday. The two spoke briefly to reporters, commenting on both the UK’s immigration issue and the ongoing hunger crisis in Gaza.
“I’m looking to eat people right now,” Trump said. “For me, it’s your number one position because there are so many people you’re hungry. You have people you know, recently, just a few weeks ago, we gave you $60 million. That’s a lot of money. No other countries gave you money.”
The priority was that the situation in Gaza is a “humanitarian crisis” and the two said they would discuss the issue during the meeting.

Trump also mentioned the war in Ukraine and said he continues to be “disappointed” with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He said the US may reduce the 50-day windows that Ukraine and Russia have given them to reach the ceasefire agreement.
“I think I already know the answer, what’s going to happen,” Trump said.
Trump also commented that if he were not serving as president, the world would experience six major wars, citing his efforts to end the conflict with Pakistan and the friction between Serbia and Kosovo.
In May, the UK became the first to announce a trade agreement with the US after Trump announced extensive tariffs on multiple countries earlier this year.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters last week that Trump and Priorities would meet “to refine the great trade deals that were mediated,” but the White House did not answer Fox News Digital’s questions about being discussed specifically over the weekend.
“The UK is the only country that secures this contract with the US, reduces car export fees from 27.5% to 10%, saves hundreds of millions of jobs each year, and protects hundreds of thousands of jobs,” the UK government said in a statement. “At the same time, the aerospace sector has seen the removal of 10% tariffs on goods such as engines and aircraft parts, allowing companies like Rolls Royce to become more competitive and stay on the cutting edge of innovation.”

The priority defended his relationship with Trump in a BBC interview earlier this month, saying it was in the “national interest” that the two men get along well.

“We are different people, we have different political backgrounds and trends, but we have a good relationship. It comes from a lot of places,” Starmer told the BBC podcast, Political Thinking. “I think I understand that he really cares what the president is pinning.”
