President Donald Trump was “offended” with Russian President Vladimir Putin this weekend for assaulting Ukrainian President Voldimir Zelensky, he told NBC News in an interview.

Trump told the outlet he was unhappy with Putin for not moving in the right direction towards a peace deal with Ukraine. Putin on Friday lightly paraded Zelensky’s leader, claiming that Ukraine might need a cross-border government.

“If Russia and I can’t get a contract by stopping the bloodshed in Ukraine, and if I think it’s Russia’s fault, it may not be, but if I think it’s Russia’s fault, I’m going to put secondary tariffs on oil, I’m going to put all the oil coming out of Russia,” Trump told the outlet.

“That means if you buy oil from Russia, you can’t do business in the US,” he continued. “There is a 25% tariff on all oil, and there is a 25-50 point tariff on all oil.”

Trump will talk to Russian President Vladimir Putin about the ceasefire of the Russian Ukrain this Tuesday.

Nevertheless, Trump made it clear that if Putin “doesn’t the right thing,” his anger would “dissipate quickly.”

Trump last spoke to Putin last week, and the pair will have another conversation this week.

Putin’s latest attacks go beyond words as he engages in multiple attacks on Ukrainian targets over the weekend.

Four people were killed and 24 injured on Friday evening after a Russian drone struck Dnipro in the east of the country, according to regional governor Serhii Lysak and Ukraine’s emergency services. At least eight people were injured when a Russian ballistic missile near Zelensky’s hometown of Krivii Li hit the nearby, Gov. Rissack reported.

A drone attack in Kalkiv killed two people on Saturday night, and injured 35 more.

Putin himself praised his military’s “strategic initiative” on Thursday.

“Our army, our troops, are liberating territory after territory, one after another, and one after another, reconciliation is released every day,” he said in a public forum.

On Thursday, Zelenki met with French President Emmanuel Macron ahead of the Paris summit of around 30 countries on Kiev’s hands and how to strengthen its troops, calling for a ceasefire with Russia. Proposals to deploy European troops within the country in conjunction with the peace agreement are also being discussed.
