President Donald Trump has announced that Dan Bongino will serve as the next deputy director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
“Great News for Law Enforcement and American Justice,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social on Sunday night. “Dan Bongino, a man of incredible love and passion for our country, has been appointed the next deputy director of the FBI by the man who will become Kash Patel, the greatest director of all time.”

The president said Bongino holds a Masters degree in Psychology from City University of New York and an MBA from Pennsylvania.

“He is a member of the New York Police Department (New York’s finest!), a highly respected special agent of the US Secret Service and is currently one of the most successful podcasters in the country, and he is is something I’m happy to prepare. I give up to serve,” Trump wrote. “In collaboration with our great new US Attorney General, Pam Bondy, and Superintendent of Patel, we will bring fairness, justice, law and order back to America. Congratulations.”
Bongino is also a former Fox News host.
