President Donald Trump announced on Monday that he plans to sign an executive order that cuts prescription and drug costs “nearly immediate, 30% to 80%.”
Trump announced the true social Sunday.
“For many years, I’ve been wondering why American prescription drugs and medicines in the United States are so expensive that they are so expensive that they are made in the exact same lab or factory, sometimes 5-10 times higher than the same drug,” Trump wrote. “In fact, there was no correct or valid answer, so it was always difficult and very embarrassing to explain.

“Pharmaceutical companies/pharmaceutical companies will say that for many years, all of these costs were supported by American “sucking cups,” and for no reason.
“We’re going to do the right thing, something Democrats have fought for years,” Trump added. “Therefore, we are pleased to announce that tomorrow morning, at 9am at the White House, we will sign one of the most consequential executive orders in our country’s history. Prescription drugs and drug prices will drop by 30% to 80% almost immediately.
Trump noted that drug costs will rise worldwide, but added that it will only be the first time over the years that “it will bring equity to America.”

“I will enact policies in the country that the US is the most preferred to pay the same price as the country that pays the lowest prices in the world,” Trump said. “Our country will ultimately be treated fairly, and citizens’ healthcare costs will not even be cut before. Plus, in addition to everything else, the US will save trillions of dollars.”
