On Saturday night, President Donald Trump reposted an unfounded claim about the true society that former President Joe Biden was executed in 2020 and replaced by clones or robots.
The original post, made by anonymous, true social users, often spread flashy claims outside, suggesting that Biden was replaced by “clone, double” and “robot-engineered soulless heartless entities.”
Trump has published a link to that post to nearly 10 million followers without adding any context or explanation. The original poster account has over 5,000 followers.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Sunday explaining why Trump shared the post and whether he believes Biden was executed in 2020.
Trump has been frequently taken over the years to share misinformation and unproven conspiracy theories. The president repeatedly made false claims that he won the 2020 presidential election, which led some of his supporters to attack the Capitol on January 6, 2021, attempting to overturn Biden’s victory. He also claimed that former President Barack Obama was not born in the United States before backtracking, and during the 2024 campaign, Haitian immigrants were “eating pets.” All of these claims were either exposed or proven false.
Trump’s circles are also spreading conspiracy theory, with some of the top brasses in the administration spreading misinformation about vaccines or so-called “deep states.” Health and Human Services Director Robert F. Kennedy Jr. reiterated the exposed claims that the measles, mumps and rubella vaccines cause autism.
Biden revealed last month that he had been diagnosed with the metastatic form of aggressive type of prostate cancer, as the former president and his top aides were already facing scrutiny and scrutiny about his mental vision and physical abilities, and how they were with the country.
His cancer diagnosis revelation initially prompted the overflow of wealthy people from Democrats and Republicans, but quickly changed as Trump’s allies claimed that Biden had hidden his cancer diagnosis. A Biden spokesman said at the time the former president had never been diagnosed with prostate cancer last month.
Biden said he was in good spirits on Friday since his diagnosis was released and joked with reporters about allegations of his mental decline while in office.
Saturday’s repost joined in numerous attacks the president has swayed against Biden in recent weeks.
Trump and House Republicans are using Biden to use an autopen to sign some laws and executive orders, and use it to question Biden’s mental state. Trump went until he insisted that the pardon that Biden signed was not valid because it was not signed with the actual pen. NBC News previously reported that the White House used an autopen to create signatures over decades.
