The Trump administration has suspended all aid to Ukraine, including transport and arms in Poland, until it shows its Ukrainian leadership is more grateful for its US support and commitment to peace, Fox News learned.
The suspension comes days after a controversial meeting between Ukrainian President Voldy Mie Zelensky and President Donald Trump at the White House on how to end the three-year conflict launched by Russia.
“President Trump has made it clear that he is focusing on peace,” a White House official told Fox News. “We need our partners to commit to that goal too. We are pausing and reviewing our support to make sure it contributes to the solution.”
A senior Trump administration official also told Fox News that military aid will be on hold until Ukrainian leaders show a commitment to a sincere peace negotiations.
“This is not a permanent termination of aid, it is a suspension,” the official emphasized. “The order is now on.”

Officials said Monday’s move corresponded to Zelenskyy’s actions last week.
Last week, Zelenskyy’s meeting with Trump and Vice President JD Vance exploded with screams seen around the world. The Ukrainian president traveled to the US to meet with Trump after saying peace talks were in the final stages to end the war between Ukraine and Russia.
Zelenskyy appears to have been presented with minerals for a security agreement by the Trump administration prior to the press conference, but the deal did not include security guarantees to protect Ukraine from another Russian invasion.
Aggressive spat was unfolded among heads of state minutes after reporters in the oval office asked their first questions.

“We cannot sign a contract without substantial guarantees…,” the Ukrainian defense adviser told Fox News Digital. “It’s not going well. It’s just rewarding the attacker.”

Zelenskyy’s refusal to sign the contract appears to have contributed to the rage of Trump and Vice President JD Vance. The Ukrainian leader pointed out that Russia did not stop the attacks on Ukraine between 2014 and 2022, with Trump’s first term in office that four years included.
“No one stopped him as you know,” Zelensky added that Russian President Putin repeatedly violated the bilateral agreement.
Trump then slammed Zelensky for “gambling with World War III” as he pushed back to suggestions that the Ukrainian president should work hard to reach a ceasefire with Vladimir Putin.
Following the intense exchange, Zelenskyy refused to apologize when asked by Fox News chief political anchor Bret Baier.
“President, do you think your relationship with President Donald Trump (President Trump) could be rescued after today?” Baier asked Zelenskyy.
“Of course, it’s because it’s a relationship between two or more presidents. It’s a historical relationship, a strong relationship between our people, so I always started to thank your people from our people,” Zelensky said in an exclusive interview in the “Special Report.”
“I would like to thank the President and of course Congress, but first of all, I would like to thank your people. Your people helped us save our people… We wanted to have all these strong relationships.

The Biden administration gave Ukraine military aid to dodge Russian troops in the three-year war following an invasion of Moscow’s neighbors.
When asked about the status of the rare earth mineral trade on Monday, Trump told reporters that he would disclose where the deal was when he addressed a joint session of Congress in a similar speech to the coalition’s annual nation on Tuesday. He added that he hopes Ukrainian leaders will express more gratitude for US support during the war to rekindle peace talks.
“I think he should be more grateful because this country is thick and thin and stuck with him,” Trump said. “We gave far more than Europe. Europe should have given us more than we do because, as you know, it’s right there, it’s the border.”
