President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Thursday, aimed at reinventing the Smithsonian facility, protecting national monuments, and restoring what he calls “truth and sanity” in American history by countering divisive ideology in public institutions.
Trump’s orders Vice President Vance to tackle “inappropriate, division, or anti-American ideology” from the Smithsonian Museum, Research Centers and the National Zoo.
Congress is also urging taxpayer dollars not to fund exhibitions and programs that “decrease shared value” or to promote the ideology of dividing Americans by race.

“Americans have witnessed a coordinated effort to rewrite history and force our country to adopt virtually unfounded ideologies aimed at reducing American outcomes,” Order said.
The Smithsonian has been criticized by EO for promoting narratives that claim American and Western values are harmful. Trump specifically calls for exhibits that suggest that sculptures are used to “promote scientific racism” and that the United States maintains its power through the racial system.

This order also has problems with African American history and cultural museums, suggesting that “difficulty”, “individualism” and “nuclear family” are aspects of “white culture.”
Additionally, EO declares that the Smithsonian “celebrating the achievements of women at the American Museum of Women’s History and does not recognize men as women.”
Susie Wills says Trump “another person” “attempt to assassinate” in the second period after “law.”
The executive order also directs the Secretary of the Interior to restore national parks, monuments and statues that have been “improperly deleted or altered” in recent years, in line with what is called a false correction of history.
Under the executive order, government agencies must complete the restoration and improvements of the Independent Hall before the 250th anniversary of 2026.

The order also revived Trump’s efforts to protect historic monuments from vandalism and established the National Garden of American Heroes.
“This administration is committed to ensuring that American history is celebrated accurately, fairly and proudly,” Trump’s order concludes.

The Smithsonian did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Fox News Digital.
