President Donald Trump was asked several times about comments he made last week on Thursday when he called Ukrainian President Voldime Zelenkiy a “dictator,” but in many cases he didn’t remember ignoring the question or making a statement.
Trump met with British Prime Minister Kiel Stage at the White House on Thursday, with two leaders dealing with peace talks between Ukraine and Russia.
The president told reporters he received consecutive “very successful” calls with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Zelensky, hoping to end the war between Ukraine and Russia.
“I think we’ve made a lot of progress and I think it’s going pretty quickly,” Trump said. “[Friday]as President Zelensky visits the White House, progress towards peace continues. He will be here tomorrow early in the day. We will sign a historic agreement that will make the United States a major partner in the development of Ukraine’s minerals and rare earths, oil and gas. ”

The president and Zelensky met at the White House around 11am on Friday, and Trump said the Rare Earth Minerals Agreement would provide the basis for a sustainable future between the two countries.
With Zelenskyy’s visit coming soon, reporters asked Trump on Thursday if he had plans to apologise to the Ukrainian president for calling him a dictator.
Earlier this month, Trump blasted Zelensky as a “no-election dictator” after the US left Ukraine from its first peace talks with Russia.

“Is Zelenskyy, the unelected dictator, better move fast, he’s not going to leave the country,” Trump wrote of the true society of the time. “In the meantime, we are well negotiating the end of the war with Russia. Russia acknowledges that everything can only be done by “Trump” and the Trump administration. Biden never tried. Europe could not bring peace.
When Trump met his starmet at the White House on Thursday, a reporter asked him what the two leaders had a common position.
After dodging the question, another reporter asked Trump if he believed Zelensky was a dictator.

“Did I say that?” Trump asked. “I can’t believe I said that. Next question.”
After the two leaders met in the oval office, they once again faced the reporters, who asked Trump if he would have the opportunity to apologise to Zelenkiy for calling him a dictator while praising dictator Putin.
Rather than calling Zelenskyy a dictator, Trump spoke about his upcoming meeting with the Ukrainian president, saying, “I think we’ll have a very good meeting tomorrow.

Trump said he tried so hard to persuade him not to place priorities.
“I think in these two great friendly countries, you can get a real trade contract that doesn’t require tariffs,” Trump said. “I understand.”
The US and Britain began with rocky relationships during colonial times, but have flourished in the fact that both leaders agree on is special and remain strong.
In fact, Trump was given a letter from King Charles in order of priority, and invited the President and First Lady on a visit to the state.

“It was my privilege and honor to not only send his best wishes today, but also to invite the President and First Lady to make a national visit to the UK, an unprecedented second state visit, and to bring a letter with me from my king today,” said the priority, which never happened before. “It’s so incredible. It’s historic and I’m pleased to be able to return to the king’s dignity and tell him that President Trump has accepted the invitation.”
Shortly after Starmer’s announcement, Trump thanked the Prime Minister and offered his tribute.
“What a beautiful accent,” the president said. “I would have been president if I had that accent 20 years ago.”
