President Donald Trump said Minnesota Gov. Tim Waltz, the running mate of former Vice President Kamala Harris, helped the Democratic Party lose its party in the 2024 election.
Trump’s comments came in response to a statement provided on a podcast with California Gov. Gavin Newsom, which aired Tuesday.
“Well, he’s a loser. Yes, I think so. He lost the election,” Trump said Friday at the White House’s Oval Office. “He played the role. Usually the Vice President doesn’t play the role, they say. I think Tim was so bad that he hurt her, but she hurt herself, and Joe hurt both.
A Walz spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.

Walz’s comments came amid a discussion with Newsom about toxic masculinity. Newsom discussed why he brought in a conservative figure like Charlie Kirk on his podcast, but the Waltz questioned how to challenge Trump supporters because he believes that someone should not be amortized because he has different opinions.
“How do you fight that? I think I can kick most of their A. “But I don’t know if we’ll fall where we want it. Well, here we go and try the WWE fight.”
Waltz also told Newsom that he believed “I scared them a little,” and that he received scrutiny from Republicans and encouraged Newsom to laugh.

Meanwhile, Walz received some criticism for his comments on the podcast.
Caitlyn Jenner, a trans woman previously known as Bruce Jenner and former Olympic gold medalist big three, joked in the X-Post that she was more “masculine” than Waltz.
Vice President JD Vance also spoke to Walz’s comments in an interview with Daily Caller’s Vince Coglianese that aired on Thursday.

“I have to say, Vince, I wasn’t physically scared of Tim Waltz,” Vance said.
Vance also addressed speculation that Waltz might attempt to run for the US Senate following his bid as Harris’ running mate in the 2024 election.
“I’m not too worried about Tim Waltz as a political talent,” Vance said.
