President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance and Ukrainian President Voldy Me Zelenki sparred during a meeting at the White House to end the Russian-Ukraine war.
According to the White House pool notes, Vance said during Zelenki’s visit to the White House, the path to securing peace between Russia and Ukraine is engaged in diplomacy through his engagement in diplomacy.
“We signed a contract with Putin. He didn’t follow that. What diplomacy are you talking about?” Zelenskyy told Vance.

“It’s very rude,” Vance said of Zelensky’s comments, but Trump said Ukraine was “not in a good position” and gambling with World War II.
“Have you ever said thank you?” Vance asked Zelensky, according to the memo.
“You talked too much,” Trump told Zelensky.
Zelensky traveled to the US on Friday to meet with Trump at the White House after Trump said peace talks were in the final stages to end the war between Ukraine and Russia on Thursday. The Trump administration has also worked to inscribe an agreement with Ukraine that will allow the US to access Ukraine minerals in exchange for support since the US began war in 2022 as part of a peace deal.
Trump also said in his remarks to the media that the trilateral meeting between Russia and Ukraine, and the trilateral meeting between the US, would probably be difficult, not a “match of love.”
“They don’t like each other, I can tell you, it’s not a love match,” Trump asked the media how he envisions a trilateral meeting between the US and the Russian Ukraine.
